Urban Primary Health Care Service Delivery Project – (UPHCSDP)

In 2000, Shimantik has got the opportunity to work at urban area of Dhaka city corporation in ward nos 24, 25,26 and 35. It has provided ESP services to the urban slums through primary health care centre (PHCC), satellite clinic and comprehensive reproductive health care centre (CRHCC). In 2007, it has awarded the project in Sylhet city corporation area. Both in Dhaka and Sylhet city corporations (SCC), Shimantik has implemented UPHCP –II with the financial support from Asian Development Bank (ADB), SIDA, DFID, UNFPA and Government of Bangladesh. The project was implemented through the guidance of LGERD/city corporation. At present, Shimantik has been implementing its UPHCSDP in 21 wards in SCC out of 27 wards.
