This is maternal and newborn health related research project funded by WHO through Johns Hopkins University-USA. The primary objectives of the project are to determine population-based burden, timing, and causes of maternal, perinatal and neonatal deaths and also to determine the burden of severe acute Maternal morbidity (SAMM) in the study populations and to document the care received for each morbidity condition.
